Prepping for Your Holiday Party: 4 Ways to Flatter Your Image

The appearance of your skin is the most important part of making an entrance, so your first step to dazzling any audience needs to be gaining an awareness of the incredible results that NeriumAD Age-Defying Treatment can bring to your skin care regimen. NeriumAD isn’t the only way to “wow” party guests, but my decision to list this sensational product as my #1 strategy to flattering your image isn’t without reason. Read on for more information about this anti-aging skin care secret and for additional tips on leaving spectacular, lasting impressions this holiday season!

-Step into the limelight with NeriumAD

As my readers know by now, I am pretty serious when it comes to skin care. I refuse to flippantly recommend a product, and there is a reason why I am introducing NeriumAD Age-Defying Treatment as the first on my list to improving your overall appearance. The reason is this: this anti-aging treatment is outstanding! It is absolutely a must-have in anyone’s skin care regimen. Within weeks of my first application, I saw visible results. NeriumAD Age-Defying Treatment reduced the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles in my face, and gave me a much-needed confidence boost, allowing me to embrace the day. I’ll never again cower in the corner at parties or look for a poorly lit area where I can hover unnoticed. NeriumAD Age-Defying Treatment has renewed my skin, my excitement for meeting new people and given me the courage to pursue the social interaction I’ve been craving. Rejuvenate your skin’s appearance, and gain the determination to make an appearance with NeriumAD.

-Get smart via staying hydrated

A lack of hydration will surface on your skin’s appearance almost immediately. Be sure to drink plenty of water before the night of your event, and stay hydrated the morning of and during the big day. You’ll feel more energetic, engaged and inspired, and your body will soak up the extra moisture, reducing the chances of parched-looking skin surfacing on your special occasion.

-Avoid messy food at all costs

Even if you are dressed in a way that will allow you to pass for a member of the royal family, a marinara dollop or splatters of cocktail sauce will prove to be unforgiving. Stick to appetizers that won’t drip sauce or stain your fingers. Each of us has at some point spent a portion of the evening in the bathroom, frantically holding our clothing under an automatic hand dryer. Once is enough, don’t you think?

Learn to love new opportunities. Not all of us are extroverts, but with these tips we’ll be able to fake it until we make it! If all else fails, and you are far-from-loving the company you’re with and longing race home with a quickness, I have one more tip for you:

-Blame it on the babysitter

You might not have kids, and your date might not either, but few people know this and you promised your babysitter you’d be home by 10 p.m…. Sharp.

Happy Holidays!

Bad Beauty and Style Advice: Common Myth #3

We live in an environment with pervasive norms that don’t quite make sense. This is quite common with sources of beauty and style advice and, as a result, the consensus of consumers that rely on them. However, an important part of style and body image is sorting out your own path. Lately, I’ve been taking a close look at common beauty and style myths that often result in people looking older than they actually are. We’ve already talked about how the use of NeriumAD along with other habits can help liven up your appearance in a safe and effortless way. Now, I’d like to address one of my biggest annoyances as a body image consultant:

Myth #3: Aging gracefully means not caring about your appearance.

There a surprising stigma concerning those with mature skin taking anti-aging measures. Though we live in a society that idolizes youthful characteristics, for some reason there’s an idea that people who try and change the appearance of their skin are insecure or shallow. That everyone should age like Meryl Streep—“Look at her! She doesn’t have time to think about the way she looks because she’s so busy being a self-assured 17-time Oscar nominee, and she looks great!”

I guarantee you that everyone with a youthful energy, even those who look as effortlessly confident as Meryl Streep (or at least a few characters she plays), do something. Whether it’s exfoliating regularly, never going out in the sun without sunscreen, going for a jog every morning, eating vegetables, relying on your fleet of celebrity style and beauty experts, or other lifestyle choices, a glowing appearance is achieved through some type of effort that depends on a person’s individual needs.

Correction: Aging gracefully means doing what is physically and emotionally right for you.

Now, I don’t want you thinking you have to care about your appearance. I’m just saying it’s human to care about your appearance, and you shouldn’t feel guilty about that. Teenagers are allowed to care about acne, and so why should other biological changes such as balding or wrinkles be any different? Ignoring these natural feelings won’t make them go away, and regardless of any action you take, you must address any sort of insecurity in order to maintain your emotional health. In fact, burying these feelings can bring emotional distress, and stress itself can add years to your look.

The key is to find a healthy balance between self-acceptance and self-improvement. My advice is always to focus on living a healthy lifestyle while pursuing easy ways to address personal pet peeves you may have with your appearance. Don’t feel bad about checking out hair-growth treatments or asking your friends if they have any good skin cream recommendations.

If you’re one of the latter, I’ll save you some time by introducing you to NeriumAD. This incredible product was developed by researchers who took notice of the powerful anti-aging properties of Nerium oleander extract, an ingredient that has been used in herbal therapies for centuries. One of traditional medicine’s best kept secrets is out, and you can see the results for yourself with NeriumAD. The best part about this solution is that you won’t have to give up much time or effort—simply integrate use of NeriumAD into your routine once a day, diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.  This way, you can address the physical signs of aging without losing sight of your overall wellbeing.

Bad Beauty and Style Advice: Common Myth #2

Bad advice is everywhere. To stick out from the crowd, it’s important to separate the good advice from the bad. In my last post, I started a conversation about common beauty and style mistakes that, without a person’s knowledge, can add years of age to their look, and how NeriumAD can help. Let’s take a look at another common myth that can age your appearance:

Myth #2: You have to dress and look your age.

Well, this is a half myth. Sure, not everyone should be wearing neon tube tops and muscle shirts. Not that this always looks attractive. But, you shouldn’t dress in a style that is drab or outdated because of perceptions about what age should wear what, as this is unflattering as well. No matter what a person’s age is, the wrong clothes will add years to your appearance. Those who divide clothes into categories of old and young rather than flattering and unflattering not only limit their wardrobe, but may just look older than they are in an effort not to wear anything too “young.” There’s a much simpler way to go about this. You should also dismiss any expectation to completely ignore any other insecurity about your appearance just because of an expectation to “look” your age. Everyone ages differently, and you need to do what makes you happy. As long as you’re not ignoring the person you are on the inside, there’s nothing wrong with self-improvement.

Correction: Think in terms of body shape, personal style, and situation.

Don’t limit yourself by making a hard and fast rule out of dressing according to age ranges. After a little experimentation, you may even find yourself surprised after trying on clothes you thought were off limits. The key is to choose clothes that are appropriate for the situation and fit you well. In fact, you could say that choosing clothes that flatter your shape is more important than style. The basics like black dresses, neutral slacks, and other everyday pieces are always in style if they fit well. To build up your wardrobe from there, forget about dressing according to any sort of type. Just pick out what you like. Wearing clothes that aren’t “you” brings down your comfort and confidence, which others will notice. Nothing’s more flattering than clothes that fit both your body and your personality, and owning your outfit will put a youthful skip in your step. Lastly, pick clothes that are right for the situation. For example, if you go out for drinks right after work, take off that modest office cardigan to show off your trendy yet tasteful blouse in your favorite shade of bold red.

Concerning mature skincare, you will also want to go with the option that is the most emotionally and physically flattering for you—measures like facelifts or Botox aren’t for everyone, and may require a bit of a time commitment. I usually recommend a product that produces real results without requiring any scheduling in your appointment book: NeriumAD Age-Defying Treatment. This is not your typical face cream that will promise miracles and produce disappointment. NeriumAD impressed in clinical trials, using Nerium oleander’s powerful anti-aging properties to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles with just one application a day. Great-looking skin is the perfect accessory to your lively, flattering wardrobe, allowing you to look as youthful on the outside as you feel on the inside.

Beauty and Style Myths that Make You Look Older

I always tell my clients to not believe everything they read. Every piece of beauty and style advice should be taken with a grain of salt as you can’t expect every “rule” to apply to different people. There are a few well-believed practices that can actually make you look older. I decided to kick off a series of common beauty and style faux pas that may be adding years to your appearance without your notice, along with my amendments to help preserve a lively look. Keep reading to find out about one of these common myths, and how you can fight back with NeriumAD:

Myth #1: To get results, anti-aging measures must be drastic.

You’ve seen the rows of anti-aging products at the store. You may have thought, if these simple fixes worked, there wouldn’t be so many products, right? There wouldn’t be anyone walking around with wrinkles—the only people who see any significant changes go through an invasive procedure.

However, the reality is that most products just don’t work well enough to achieve the results consumers would like to see. You just can’t expect much from typical drugstore products. Also, keep in mind that not all drastic results are good results. Plastic surgery can go wrong in a permanent way, and this type of work does not always age well as skin continues to mature.

Before we correct this myth, on a related note it is important to note that when approaching anti-aging solutions, you should keep in mind just how different everyone’s skin is. Results for the same treatment may differ according to bone structure, skin type, lifestyle, physician, or a number of other factors. This is why I advise topical solutions first, as you don’t deal with the risks and unpredictability of drastic options. Because of the unique quality of an individual’s skin, you may just have not found what works yet.

Correction: To get results, anti-aging measures must be different.

They say that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Before you give up on topical options, perhaps look into a product that works differently and boasts claims you can confirm. For clients who have trouble with skin issues like wrinkles, fine lines, uneven texture, and lack of elasticity, I suggest a product with a unique and powerful ingredient that improved the look of fine lines and wrinkles by 30% within 30 days in clinical trials—NeriumAD. Using the natural power of Nerium oleander extract, you can transform the appearance of your skin without any needles or scalpels. Just apply NeriumAD every night, and let this revolutionary product do its work.

My High-Definition Reality Check: Skincare Isn’t Just for Women

Honestly, I never really felt “old” until my daughter’s wedding. And it wasn’t because I couldn’t believe I was actually walking my baby girl down the aisle when it felt like I was just walking her to the first day of kindergarten. I mean, I was thinking that. But it was actually that pricey high definition photographer that my wife insisted on. A week after the wedding, she excitedly called me over to the computer for a first look at the photos.

After reliving one of the happiest days of my life, I couldn’t help but notice all the lines around my forehead, eyes, and mouth. It’s nothing new to me that I had wrinkles. With all the checks that needed to be written, I hadn’t been paying too much attention, but I’d thought that you could only see these wrinkles when you looked in the mirror way up close. Other than shaving, I’d never had much of a skincare routine before. I’d never needed one. I thought more than washing with soap in the shower was for women. Even just picking up something for my wife, the rows and rows of floral-scented products in the skincare aisle overwhelmed me. None of my male friends ever talked about getting into skincare. I just thought that guys don’t do that.
Did these magic cameras have the ability to see things invisible to the not-very-close eye, or do I just see what I want to see in the mirror? I shouldn’t have asked. My wife laughed as she absentmindedly clicked through the album again.
“Of course you have wrinkles, honey. You’re 53.”
She is a few years older than me, a fact she doesn’t like to hear out loud too much. “But your skin is smoother than a baby’s bottom. You look great in these pictures.,” I replied.
“You should sound happier about that, you know. And, yes, because I actually put effort into my appearance,” she said.
“I don’t have time for that.”
“Really? Because you spend more time cutting your toenails than I do taking care of my skin.”
A gave her an incredulous look despite the fact that my nails grow very quickly. She laughed. “I’ll show you.”
That’s when I met NeriumAD Age-Defying Treatment for the first time. All you do is apply the cream every night before bed, a habit that has integrated perfectly with my bedtime routine. Right after application, my skin feels nice and tight, and continued application has diminished the look of my wrinkles and fine lines. Wanting to know how this works, I read that NeriumAD contains patented NAE-8 extract from Nerium oleander and Aloe barbadensis, which have remarkable age-defying results. I’ve even had a few buddies tentatively ask if I started using a new lotion or anything. After explaining I’d been using a cream much more sophisticated and yet just as easy as applying lotion, they’re using NeriumAD too.
My wife was pleased with the results too. “Great!” she said. “Because we’re hiring that photographer for Amy’s wedding as well.”
I smiled. “And I can’t wait to see the pictures!”

Tips for Reviving Your Makeup Routine Inspired by Nature

If you’re anything like me, you like to apply your skincare products and makeup using the same routine every day. It’s great for sluggish mornings or time-strapped situations where you don’t want to spend the time or effort really thinking about your makeup. However, this often results in a makeup routine slump—the same techniques and products every day may leave you feeling less than enthused about your makeup. To spice up your routine, consider these tips I used, inspired by nature:

Prepare Your Skin

Before you even apply makeup, it’s important to have a smooth and even surface to work with. You can always use a primer to help prepare your palette, but oftentimes this isn’t enough, especially for those with more advanced issues like mature acne scars or fine lines and wrinkles. For scarring and other discoloration, perhaps look to essential oils or raw ingredients to help fade these old blemishes, such as lavender essential oil (sparingly—essential oil is potent, so too much can be drying) or argan oil.

To improve the look of fine lines and wrinkles, you can not only look to nature but an ancient herbal tradition that has been around for centuries. Revolutionary night cream NeriumAD, using a patented Nerium oleander extract, can help improve the appearance of wrinkles by adding just a simple application step to your routine. A big pet peeve of mine is when my crow’s feet cause dried makeup to crack, only drawing more attention to them. With a smoother surface, you won’t need as much makeup, and you won’t have as much of a problem with the makeup you do use only accentuating wrinkles.

Use Products that Skin Craves

To get that glowing complexion, it’s time to think about makeup differently. Rather than using makeup just to cover up and smother your skin, try using products that are actually good for your skin and improve the way skin looks by feeding it products containing nutrient rich ingredients. Mineral makeup and similar products have exploded in popularity for their ability to not only cover imperfections, but also to make skin look better even after the makeup comes off.

Set Your Makeup

So you’ve prepared your skin for makeup, followed with a flawless application, and go on with your day feeling fabulous. But unless you help your makeup set, you may be disappointed with your next look in the mirror. Even makeup that boasts long-lasting powers may have trouble staying in place during activity as sweat, contact with materials, and other movement can wear down your makeup, smudging and rubbing off all your hard work. For a DIY makeup setting spray, mix two parts water to one part glycerin and one part witch hazel. Spritz your face quickly before heading out, keeping your makeup in place for longer.
